In a real fire, smoke generation is one of the greatest threats to human life. For this reason, minimising smoke emissions is a primary consideration in protecting people. Selected QuadCore® insulated sandwich panels achieve a smoke development classification of s1, representing the lowest smoke emission category. Selected products also achieve a fire classification of B-s1,d0 in accordance with MSZ EN 13501-1:2019*.
Taking this into account, together with the high insurance requirements associated with industrial buildings, we have sought to meet the highest industry standards.
Since the introduction of closed-cell insulation cores, significant progress has been made in fire protection performance, particularly for wall applications, where QuadCore® insulated panels achieved an EI60 fire resistance rating in tests conducted in accordance with EN 1364-1:2015 (without factory joints protected by columns).
However, development continues. The fire performance of closed-cell insulation cores will continue to improve in the future. QuadCore® technology offers significant advantages compared with many open-cell materials. As insulation core technology continues to evolve and new products are developed for a wide range of construction applications, a new generation of construction solutions will continue to emerge.
